“I always start a new client relationship by probing a client about their financial needs, both business and personal. Then we discuss scenarios that could meet those needs. Over time we develop a relationship built on mutual respect and teamwork. The overall objective is to inform a client about the best options for his/her financial life.”
Marcel Castonguay views himself primarily as an educator. Marcel taught graduate students working on their accounting designations for over twenty-five years as a professor with the University of Ottawa, Carleton University and Algonquin College. Throughout his career in public accounting Marcel has educated his clients about accounting, tax, financial planning and general business principles.
Marcel’s extensive experience with professionals and consultants has only strengthened his empathic approach to advising his clients. With his CMA background he is strong in cost accounting, especially as it applies to contribution margin calculations and analysis for professionals in the health care field. Most importantly Marcel’s clients appreciate that he always has their best interests at heart.
