Karen Blanchard was with McLarty & Co for just over three years when she was promoted for the second time, to Director of Assurance and Business Advisory Services. Her quiet competency and proactive attitude is evident whether she is communicating with clients, applying her technical skills or coaching other members of the team. Like the other directors in her position, Karen is responsible for conducting and directing assurance engagements for service, manufacturing, construction and professional entities as well as not-for profit organizations. Karen is one of the directors who leads McLarty & Co’s expanding health professional service area. With her experience as a manager at a local CA practice and also as the controller of one of Canada’s largest national law firms, Karen relates especially well to her professional clients.
By volunteering in a therapeutic horseback riding program for developmentally disabled adults Karen has found a way to combine two of her passions: helping others and horseback riding.
